Those in attendance: Aarron Hunsinger, Sherri Crowl, Lee Shadeck, Caitlin Lovey, Leah Miller, Anne Rill, Robin Olivett, Lisa Sayers
-Discussion was held regarding an executive board – versus a cabinet of traditional leaders.
-The general consensus was to have pairs of individuals responsible for specific tasks
-Proposal Reviews and Approvals – Aarron and Lee said they would take this on
-Fundraiser Ideas – Sherry and Anne expressed interest
-Guest Speakers
-Dr. Cowher to speak next week regarding licensure – 7:40 PM, Tuesday, October 27th
-Question raised as to how much we have in our account – will need to get with Bomber to find that number
-Conference opportunities – attached fliers

ETHICAL and PROFESSIONAL ISSUES
Fall 2009

Prerequisite: Intro course (COUN700, COUN702 or COUN704) or

This course will explore the following topics:
• Professional Codes of Ethics (especially the 2005 ACA Code)
• Ethical Decision Making
• Values and the Helping Relationship
• Multicultural and Diversity Issues
• Client Rights and Counselor Responsibilities
• Confidentiality
• Managing Boundaries and Multiple Relationships
• Professional Competence
• Issues in Supervision and Consultation
• Issues in Theory, Practice and Research
The course will be held in a seminar format. Instructional modalities will include self-assessment and reflection, case studies, group discussions, application assignments, and a final paper.
